Axalta Introduces Latest Addition to Internal Pipe Coatings Portfolio

Houston, TX – September 13, 2017: Axalta Coating Systems (NYSE: AXTA) is pleased to introduce its latest addition to the corrosion resistant internal pipe coatings line from the Nap-Gard® Functional Coatings collection. Nap-Gard 7-0015 Tan Internal FBE is a thermosetting epoxy powder designed to pass the Saudi Aramco 09-SAMSS-091 (2011) specification.

Today's environments explored by oil and gas operators have higher temperatures and concentrations of H2S, CO2 and other gas contaminants. These conditions require the use of significantly more expensive metal chrome alloys to avoid corrosion and failure. Axalta’s new generation of pipe coatings provide a cost-effective alternative to protecting the internal diameter of pipelines. Nap-Gard 7-0015 delivers high adhesion properties to effectively protect pipelines subject to H2S, CO2 and CH4 exposure.
