Axalta Opens World's Largest Research & Development Centre Dedicated to Coatings and Colour at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia, USA

New 16,000m2 Global Innovation Center at the Philadelphia Navy Yard - More than 200 engineers and scientists at the forefront of colour and coatings innovation

Philadelphia, USA – 8 November 2018 - Axalta (NYSE: AXTA), a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, celebrated the official opening of its Global Innovation Center, the largest coatings research and development (R&D) centre in the world, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on 7 November. The 16,000m² Global Innovation Center offers unparalleled specialty labs, as well as office space. Its location in Philadelphia's historic Navy Yard enables collaboration among Axalta employees, business partners, and customers throughout the Philadelphia area and beyond.

The Navy Yard location offers an attractive workplace for new talent, and the Axalta campus was built with researchers in mind, modelling an academic setting with a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to foster teamwork and creativity.
