Requirement
When the client decided to install new filtration systems at its Kota Tinggi plant, high performance anticorrosion systems were required to protect tanks and equipment that would be subjected to high degrees of abrasion and chemical attack. Items included Lime D-Mixers, Slurry Tanks, Cyclones and Dust Filters.
Preparation
The units were blast cleaned to a minimum of Sa2 of EN ISO 8501-1:2007, with a surface profile of 50-75 microns, washed down with fresh water and allowed to dry.
Coatings
The external areas received two coats of Corroless™ S followed by one coat of Corroless™ RF16. For additional protection, all internal areas were protected with a coat of Corroless™ EPF and one full coat of Corroless™ RF35(2006).
