SDS ZIP Files
14th April 2023.
In early 2021 Australia began the transition to the 7th revised edition of GHS (GHS 7). This required manufacturers and importers of hazardous chemicals to ensure that their classifications, labels, and safety data sheets (SDS) are up to date by the end of the transition period.
Axalta Australia Safety Data Sheets (SDS) accessed individually online from 18th October 2022 are all AU GHS 7 compliant.
However, to ensure both distributors and end-user customers have the latest SDS, we have consolidated all SDS files into this one area. From here you can download active product SDS (by brand) in a zip file.
We highly encourage you to save this zip file to your desktop (or other folder) and extract the files from here.
Once the zip file is extracted, you will find an excel file that provides quick links to the relevant product SDS, along with a folder of complete SDS. If you don’t already have Excel, download the Excel Viewer below.
Below are instructions that will step you through this process.
To access the SDS files:
- Download the required zip SDS files by clicking on the brand below.
- Once the download is complete, double click on the download file, and select “Extract All” to start the extraction process. Extract the zip file to Desktop (or create a specific folder name to access).
- Once extracted, open the folder and double click on Excel spreadsheet to open SDS list.
- If the Excel spreadsheet does not open, make sure you have the Excel software installed on the PC. You can click the Excel icon below to download the Excel Viewer software which will allow you to use the spreadsheet.
- Within the Excel spreadsheet, press Ctrl and F together to initiate the search function and find the required product.
- Click on the hyperlink (SDS Link column) to open the product SDS.
If you have any issues during this process please contact Axalta on 1800 292 582 (1800 AXALTA) and ask for the Colour Support Team or email info-anz@axalta.com.
