The international fair Wire & Tube Düsseldorf is a go-to event in the Axalta trade-fair calendar! Here we will present our innovations to an international professional audience, network with colleagues and customers, and exchange experiences. This fair is the perfect setting to showcase our wide range of thermoplastic coatings for the fencing and appliances markets.

The fencing market requires products that offer long-lasting protection and are able to withstand corrosion and external forces, creating a durable barrier whilst respecting the environment. At Wire Düsseldorf we are presenting two of our well-established products for the fencing market, Plascoat® PPA571 and Wireguard.

Plascoat® PPA571 offers high corrosion protection, resistance to salt, abrasion, UV damage and colour fading, as well as excellent impact and graffiti resistance and top-notch performance even in sub-zero temperatures. As a result, it far outlasts traditional powder coatings. It is quick and easy to apply through spraying or dipping, without the need for a primer. Moreover, as it contains no plasticisers, VOCs and heavy metals, it has a low environmental impact.

Wireguard is the ideal powder-coating solution for outdoor wire structures. It can be applied through dipping and offers long-lasting protection against flexing caused by the elements, including UV rays and extreme temperature fluctuations. As a single-layer solution, it requires less material than traditional PVC coating, making it time- and cost-effective. Moreover, just like Plascoat^â PPA571, it contains no plasticisers, VOCs and heavy metals, resulting in a low environmental impact.

In the appliances market too, superior corrosion protection and durability take centre stage. At Wire Düsseldorf we are presenting two high-performance, environmentally-friendly products for this demanding market, Plascoat® NG30 and the new Plascoat® Applicoat.

Plascoat® NG30 is a polyethylene powder coating for indoor wirework applications, such as refrigerator shelves, used by world’s major appliance companies. It is applied through dipping and guarantees excellent coverage with a minimal overall coating thickness and without the need for a primer. Plascoat® NG30 contains no VOCs, BPA, phthalates, halogen and plasticisers, and is compliant with the FDA and EU food-contact regulations.

The new Plascoat® Applicoat is a hybrid solution for the coating of wire dishwasher baskets. It blends the performance of our coating powder Talisman with the hardness of nylon. Plascoat® Applicoat can be applied through dipping and spraying, and offers higher resistance to staining and yellowing than traditional nylon coatings. It is also more durable. Just like Plascoat® NG30, it contains no VOCs, BPA, phthalates, halogen and plasticisers, and it is compliant with the FDA and EU food-contact regulations.
